Heather Dudenbostel is a passionate teacher and performer who recently relocated to Los Angles from New York City. As an adjunct voice instructor at New York University, she taught applied voice, working with students from varying programs within the NYU community, including graduate students of the Tisch Musical Theatre Writing program, undergraduates of the various acting studios, and students of the music business program. She also served on the voice faculty of Highbridge Voices, a ground-breaking afterschool choral and music education program in the Bronx. Heather has been teaching private voice for nine years; students emerging from her studio have been semi-finalists on Americal Idol, professional singers, musical theatre actors, dancers, variety artists, choral directors, and recording artists, just to name a few. She has been a guest instructor at the college and high school levels, teaching both voice and musical theatre performance, and is a proud member of NATS (National Teachers of Singing Association) and NYSTA (New York Teachers of Singing Association). Heather holds an Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance – Musical Theatre from NYU (Outstanding Graduate Award) and a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Western Washington University.
Heather Dudenbostel is a versatile singer and actress whose voice has been described by critics as “magnificent,” her acting as “touching and emotional,” and whose work has been praised as that of a “gifted comedienne.” She made her Off-Broadway debut in the rock opera, The New Hopeville Comics in the winter of 2009, and her Carnegie Hall debut as a featured soloist with Pacific Opera Repertory Company that spring. In 2010 Heather was asked to co-direct and perform Great Moments In Music, also at Carnegie Hall. This spring she appeared in a production of Ricky Ian Gordon’s Orpheus and Euridice at the Duo Theatre, which was listed by New York Magazine as an Editor’s Pick for Classical Music. Most recently, Heather played the role of Rapunzel in Into The Woods, a seminal production for the Mount Baker Theatre in Bellingham, WA.
